Marine Reserves Now
On the 3rd April 2008 the Marine Reserves Now petition, containing
100,000 signatures was delievered to Joan Ruddock, Parliamentary Under Secretary
of State at Defra.
80 divers, along with their masks and snorkels, marched from the London Eye, across Westminster
Bridge and over to the Houses of Parliament.
A group of divers from ULSAC took part in the march, aiming to raise awareness
about protection of Britain's coastal waters.
Here is a
Times Online
article with video, documenting the march and views of participants.
